Great service and spicy food
Always have loved the food here. They have a very wide menu to choose from. The food is spicy and flavorful. Almost everything I've tasted is good. The ambience is good, servers are great and respectful. Their sticky rice with Mango is very good. Ambience is great, quantity is very good. I love the spice level too, can be a little extra for the wee ones. ;)
We are from the Szn Francisco Bay Area and have had authentic Thai food. This food lacks in taste. We were there once before and didn't like the food. We thought we would try it again. A good Thai place should be able to make Pad Thai. Not good and lacks the full body of taste that Thai food offers.
Lots of food for a fair price! The heavenly fried rice is the best.
The food here was very authentic! I grew up in Asia and I really enjoyed the food here. I will definitely be back. The service was great as well. It was a very relaxing atmosphere and my wife and I really enjoyed our date here. If you are looking for authentic Thai food or just something good to eat this is the place to go!
Great Thai flavors! You won't be disappointed!
What a delightful find in the small town of Midland, MI! Delicious food, clean and contemporary decor, and wonderful service. Check it out if you're in town and hungry.
Tried this place for the first time while back. I loved their food. Try their dynamite if you enjoy spicy food
Marvelous place to eat. Authentic and delicious. Kind, efficient service. You NEED to eat here.
The peanut curry is the best thing I've tasted! If it's cold out and you're not feeling 100%. Or just looking for something to warm you up. The spices and mouth watering flavor here will help!
Food is good. The 3 times we've been there now all the staff we've encountered, hosts and waitresses, have been pretty ambivalent. Not too concerned about the customers and don't know the menu items very well. And today a table next to us the waitress brought out something at medium spice when the guy apparently ordered no spice and she didn't offer to replace it for him, just said sorry I thought you said medium. Then the guy didn't eat most of it because it was too hot for him and when she brought the bill to the table his food was on there at full price. He had to ask for it to be removed. Definitely need to improve customer service! Also, menu says Coke but they have Pepsi which was really disappointing. I guess made me have the healthier option, just ice water.
This place never disappoints, I get a different dish every time and think is this going to the one I don't like but it never happens. They have good food and good service. If I had to change anything I would work on the acoustics. It's pretty loud in there.
My wife and I have been 9 times over the years. The curry is delicious!
We LOVE this place, excellent authentic food and well priced. Husband always gets garlic stir fry with extra garlic and I alternate between Pad Thai and Rama Noodle Curry spicy (remember that Thai spice ratings are a level higher than "American" spiciness though!) Only downside is lunchtime is packed both midweek and weekend so often we order takeout. But if you go early evening just after they reopen (they close between lunch and dinner for a bit) it's not crowded. Can't wait for their new location to open with more seating!
Our family loves Basil Thai Bistro. We recommend the red Massaman Curry and the Basil fried rice!
Delicious! A little on the spicey side so be careful. Mild is spicy enough for most. Med is pretty hot. Cant imagine what the hot is like. We will go back.
Food was amazing, service was great, especially for us showing up 15mins before close.
As always, Chicken Pad Thai Hot was delicious. Love coming in during lunch for that.
Really good place for some Thai food! Spice levels are a bit inconsistent day-to-day, but that's kinda adds a bit of fun. You never know what you're going to get. The egg drop soup is one of the best I've had because the eggs are scrambled and cooked a bit before putting in the soup. I try to go here at least once every time I'm up in Midland for work.
Ordered takeout and didn't realize I got Drunken Noodle with tofu by mistake. I don't normally like tofu, but it was amazing! (It kind tasted like a spicy sausage, pepper and mushroom pizza; my favorite) Not only would I order that again, but I can't wait to return to try my original order. Other than getting tofu, like my husband, instead of beef, everything was perfect. Easy to order by phone, ready to pick up in 15 minutes, conveniently located, amazing flavor, generous portions. I also appreciated the warning about the heat of the food. I like spicy food and thought to get medium but was warned it was "American hot". Mild was perfect for me. My husband liked his Pad Thai with tofu, except he would order without any heat (chili pepper); mild was like a hot medium.
Very good food and friendly staff! Will eat here again!
While their idea of spicy is a little on the weak side (hot is still pretty mild) the food overall is very good. Service is quick and courteous. The bare floors and hard surfaces carry sound very well though, and you might find yourself party to others' conversations very easily.
Best food ever 💟💕💕
Surprisingly great food and excellent service. Lot of flavor and real spices.
Midland needed a great Thai restaurant. This one definitely fits the bill. The food Is hot, fresh and spectacular! Wait staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.Food can ba as spicy as you like from "no spice"(actually a little) to"OH MY GOD!WHAT WAS I THINKING???" ) Thai ice tea and iced coffee are definitely pleasers. Fried bananas make for a great dessert. Looking forward to going back
I can't say how much I LOVE this place.. I love Thai food and Basil seems to satisfy my cravings every single time. Great job chef.. Keep it up!
I've always been a fan of their food, healthy eats. Visited today for a pickup order (middle of Covid pandemic) and the woman working the pickup desk wasn't wearing a mask. Totally unacceptable in a food service environment. It's the smallest courtesy for the safety of patrons. If they aren't going to take this seriously, I won't be back.
So good. I remember when you could eat inside, good atmosphere. Food is still delicious though even at home.
The food is really great, the staff is incredibly helpful. It's a somewhat "upscale industrial vibe" -- very minimalist in decor, clean, unassuming. Be careful how spicy you order your food, because Thai food is spicier than the American palate is generally accustomed. I ordered my dish with medium heat and was advised that it would be more like an "American hot", which was fine. It wasn't quite that hot imo, but it was really delicious. I'm ready to go back any time.
Just tried for the first time. Flavors were fantastic! However, if you order the large tom yum soup for 3-4 people be advised that it will JUST be enough for 2. Asked for spice on the side and didn't receive it. Two dinners and soup for $45 is a bit pricey.
Fast service, very courteous & helpful. Very attentive. Pleasant surroundings. Prices were good. Food was great. I am looking forward to returning. Give it a try. You'll like it!
Good Thai place in a town with little for the foodie. I enjoyed the noodle dishes a lot. Soups are also quite good. Rice dishes have been mediocre so far. If you can tolerate the spice go with a little extra heat as it supplements the flavor well.Ambience is nice with dark furniture and dark walls but plenty of light from windows. Friendly staff.
Great food very good service. I will go ba k
The curries and soups are decent (sometimes too watery) but- the pad Thai is terrible- dry and the heavenly fried rice is the same. Left overs almost need to be recooked because they are so dried out. In a closed container the next day. The summer rolls shell is normally tough not soft and fresh as they should be. Glad there is Thai in town- as Thai is what we love when traveling to major cities but some tweaking in recipes is majorly needed. It’s so close to being delicious. We wait a while and get excited to get Thai for a change we eat it and we are bummed back to pi’s Asian for their handful of Thai items.
This is my favorite Thai in all of Michigan. A must try is the ginger Thai!
Amazing food. I would eat here anytime. Great place to have dinner with family and friends that's not just more American food.
Excellent takeout today as always.
Very good food, atmosphere and staff.
Such great service and amazing lunch options. The peanut sauce that comes with the Satay Chicken is to die for.
I give a very good to kitchen. Not a lot of person experience to the Thai Asian experience, but the black pepper tofu was quite tasty. Beer and wine now available
First time customer. It was absolutely delicious!! Ordered chicken pad thai. Was enough for 2 people or lots of leftovers. Restaurant was very clean and modern. Will be back very soon!
Oh my my !! This will be my all time favorite Thai restaurant in Michigan. I don’t mind driving 2 hours from Rochester Hills to Midland, just to eat food here. Last time I visited, this place was small. But now they moved to Midland downtown. Now they have big and nicely decorated place. Perfect for any style of dinner. My favorite dish is “Curry fried rice”.
New location is very eye appealing. Had the Drunken Noodles with Beef and it was very tasty. Tried the Mango Smoothie with the tapioca bubbles. Please note it is very big and can easily be split between two/three people. It was very good and the bubbles were fun chew on. Will be back to try more items. Acoustics in the building can get very loud depending on where you are sitting.
One of the few great spicy food restaurants in Midland
Such a great place to try your adventurous palate! Not your typical Chinese buffet. Great food and a great staff!
Great food and atmosphere. The waitress was very nice and polite.
Trendy looking Thai place in Midland, MI of all places. Was skeptical at first, because Midland, but the food was really tasty. Reminded me of dishes we had during our visit to Chiang Mai. Food took a bit to come out... Not sure why as when we ordered there were only two other tables occupied, but overall a great experience.
Food was great. Only thing is not enough Hoision Sauce and they charge extra for it. Other places have it on there tabke.
Thai food is my favorite food in the world, so imagine my disappointment when I move to Midland to have this touted as the best Thai food around. If this is the only Thai food you've ever eaten, it's probably passable, but for anyone who's had good Thai food before, this place is terrible. I tried multiple dishes over 3 visits and everything was lacking flavor and authenticity. I'd give zero stars if possible. Curry was watery and full of frozen veggies, Thai iced tea tasted of plastic, mango sticky rice was prepackaged and mangos weren't ripe, pad Thai was somehow pink (?), Curry fried rice looked and smelled like curry but somehow tasted like just straight rice. Seriously...there isn't a single thing I tried that I could recommend
Always love visiting when I come in from out of town. Some of the best food in the area, hands down! I particularly enjoy the green and pineapple curries, but the pad is also delicious.
